A little bit about me...

I inherited my love of photography from my dad.  We never traveled anywhere without his trusty Pentax K1000 loaded with Ektachrome.  You knew your dad was the "real deal" when looking at family photos often required setting up a slide projector. 

As I child I was afforded the unique opportunity of growing up in Africa.  During my 15 years in Kenya I developed a deep appreciation of the culture all around me. Over the years that love developed into a passion for capturing what I see and experience through the media of still images.

The transition from hobby to a professional pursuit has been a gradual process.  I remember quite well the first bride who approached me about photographing her wedding.  My initial response was pure panic,  "Wedding…you're kidding right?".  She was persistent, I agreed, and have never looked back.  

Proverbs 18:22 tells us "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord."  I have an incredible wife who has loved me and supported me above and beyond what I could have hoped or imagined.  Without her help none of this would be possible.  She is my best friend, the mother of my 3 wonderful children,  often times a second shooter at weddings or larger events, and my administrative assistant.  

I have counted it a privilege to have been entrusted with capturing some of the most important days in peoples lives and would love the opportunity to talk with you about capturing the special people or events in your life.
